2. 4. Social Media.  Like it or not, advertising and announcing your desire to adopt on social media is a must.  Join adoption forums and listservs.  They can be a great resource both before and after placement.

Not only do you need a highly experienced adoption attorney to provide legal advice, but hiring an adoption attorney early on in the process will ensure that everyone is on the same page and know what to expect and when to expect it.  A knowledgeable adoption attorney will have contacts with the most highly respected agencies and hospitals.  It’s a must!
